After being cooped up in the house eating and working good to get some fresh air on New Year Eve. Walked up Y Drum (3110 feet) from foot of Careg Fawr, about 10 miles round trip. Above about 1300 feet was in the cloud, and on y Drumreckon wind was 40mph, and strangely less on Foel Fras. Very wet in places underfoot and driving mist/rain but quite invigorating and not that cold. Only bit of snow was at summit
Saw a couple down in Aber Valley, and on way down form Drum three sets of walkers, including one crazy guy in walking shorts; he looked quite miserable.
